Another month over,
another ton of memories made.
We had the busiest of summers
and September didn't prove to be any different.
Between a holiday with our besties at Center Parcs,
our beautiful boy starting preschool,
and a day out to celebrate our beautiful girl turning two;
it's definitely been a busy one.
But busy is good, when it's the fun kind of busy,
and somewhere in all the fun
we made the time to take a family portrait
in a month that marks two years on from when we first became a four.
In fact my lovely cohost Katie took these photos for us
in front of the view from our villa
while we were on holiday together;
it sure is useful having a best friend who knows how to work a camera.
Make sure you pop by and see Katie's Me and Mine photos this month
(I may have returned the favour and taken hers of her family.)
All those lovely cohosts of mine always have something special to share each month.
And of course, pop around the other posts in the linky
and see what all the other families have been up to.
Love these photos, looks like you all had a great holiday :) I was always told Centreparcs wasn't any good until the children were older. A few people seem to take their littlies, think we may try it next year, much more my cup of tea than Butlins. Beautiful pics xxx
ReplyDeleteOh we LOVE Center Parcs, we went last year just before the little miss turned one and all the children loved it, although they loved it even more this year. It's great for little ones... as long as they like swimming and playing outdoors. x
DeleteGorgeous photos - sounds like you have had a lovely month, so glad your beautiful girl had a lovely birthday and that your beautiful boy is enjoying preschool. Looks like you had a wonderful holiday too :-)
ReplyDeleteThank-you, it's been a busy one, and full of some big milestones, but we've loved every second. x
DeleteIts astonishing how quickly two years can fly past isn't it! It sounds like you've had a wonderfully busy month, and a busy summer too, but definitely the best sort of busy, you all look so relaxed and happy in your photos!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely astonishing, she seems to have got to two so much faster than her bro did, and I managed to have another tiny human before he turned two! It's definitely been the good kind of busy, and doesn't look like it's slowing down anytime soon. x
DeleteThese photos are gorgeous! Looks like you had a lovely view from your villa.
ReplyDeleteThank-you. We did, we looked out over trees and a lake, which meant we had daily visits from the ducks!
DeleteAwww, so lovely as always. I love the Vampire Dairies too. xx
ReplyDeleteThanks. I am Vampire Diaries obsessed, watching it on Netflix and wondering how on earth it passed me by on the normal TV, can't wait for the new series. x
DeleteAhhh so beautiful that BB is loving preschool and it's making everyone love it too. Isn't it fantastic to have one on one girlie time too! I am enjoying it myself. Can't believe how grown up they both look lately. I bet you get asked if they are twins all the time. Lovely family captures here Lucy as always. Just gorgeous little family you have.
ReplyDeleteWe get the twin question most times me leave the house these days, and people always look baffled when I say their age gap. The girly time is so nice, although she starts looking for her brother everywhere after a while, I don't think I'm exciting enough!!! ;) x
DeleteBeautiful photos. Sounds like a very busy month for you all x
ReplyDeleteThank-you, yes busy but lovely. x
DeleteLovely photos. It does sound like the best kind of busy month as you say, a very enjoyable type!
ReplyDeleteYou can't complain about being busy when it's all good things, beats being bored any day. x
DeleteI love how our photos match this month- such a lovely holiday together. Mr E and I are just about to relax, watch a film and eat chilli, won't be the same without our besties. ;) Here's to next year. Sounds like a busy and happy month for you all. x
ReplyDeleteI like our matching photos too! Thanks for taking these for us lovely. x
DeleteSounds like a fun-packed month for all the family! These pictures are lovely... natural shots of a family who are clearly happy belonging to each other. So very sweet!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely fun-packed that's for sure, and thank-you for your lovely words. x
DeleteThese are beautiful. The background looks almost like a backdrop screen :-) What a lovely view you had from the villa xx
ReplyDeleteThanks lovely, it was a nice view, and we were really close to everything too which was really useful. x
DeleteLove the setting for your pictures, natural light at it's best :) You guys always look so happy, it's lovely xo
ReplyDeleteNatural light is my favourite, I think portraits are about to get trickier as we start losing the lovely summery light, so much easier when you can just rely on sunshine. x
DeleteLove! I still can't believe how big BG is!! I till think of her as a baby x
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean, I still very much thought of her as a baby until quite recently, but she seems to have turned into a proper little girl before our eyes, and a cheeky one at that! x
DeleteGorgeous photos, as always. I especially love the one where you're crouching down with the children as you all look so relaxed. Sounds like you had a lovely month of making happy memories. Thanks for having me for the first time for this linky.
ReplyDeleteAhhh, welcome, thanks for joining us. I always prefer relaxed family photos too, I think you can see the relationships between people more when they aren't looking at the camera. x
DeleteThese photos are just beautiful Lucy - what a perfect backdrop for the perfect family photo. So pleased to hear that the BB is loving preschool xxx
ReplyDeleteThanks lovely, it really was the perfect backdrop for a family photo, especially as it will always remind us of our fun holiday when we look back at it. x
DeleteGorgeous as always - so glad you guys all had a fab holiday together.
ReplyDeleteI am missing my M&M's this month, i am so busy with new job and nursery/school juggling i just have no spare time and the linkies always seem to make more work as its even more comments! Sorry, i will hopefully be back though or at least try and keep up taking the family shots soon as i have a wonderful year of them :)
p.s Am a Fifa 15 widow here too! x
Ahhh, we're missing you too! It's definitely going to be harder getting photos now that we aren't all together as much, and the darker evening really aren't going to help. But I'm hoping we'll make that effort for the sake of photos, and find that we really appreciate that special time together more because we get less of it. x
DeleteA woodland wonder backdrop! I must get to a Center Parcs - we always thought you couldn't take dogs! xx
ReplyDeleteYou can definitely take dogs!! It's a great spot for a family holiday, I'm sure you'd love it. x
DeleteBeautiful photos! Centre Parcs looks fantastic - we'd love to go there one day :)
ReplyDeleteThank-you, its a great place to holiday with young children. We had a blast. x
DeleteLovely shots. At first I was like, I'm sure I recognise that location and then I read why. Glad you had a lovely holiday together.
ReplyDeleteThis is a perfect example of how fantastic UK holidays can be!
