We had such a beautiful Easter weekend.
We all enjoyed some much needed quiet time together,
and the children enjoyed the little Easter activities we planned for them.
The Easter baskets were a big hit.
The beautiful boy and I had decorated them
in the week leading up to Easter weekend
(he made patterns with Easter stickers on one side
and I painted and glued Easter ribbon to the other side).
They each had a pair of cute bunny ears,
three new BabyLit books
(these books are big favourites of everyone in our house)
and a bunny rabbit soft toy each from Jellycat.
Watching their faces light up at the sight of their Easter baskets
was just the cutest thing.
He instantly remembered helping to decorate them
and excitedly showed Daddy his handiwork
and then got really excited about his new books.
She launched straight at her bunny ears
and instantly knew they needed to go on her head,
before grabbing her new bunny for a cuddle;
that kid is soft toy mad at the moment.
The beautiful boy's bunny had a blue ribbon around his neck
and has been named Grayson
after his grey fur.
The beautiful girl's bunny had a yellow ribbon around his neck
and has been named Bailey
after his creamy coloured fur.
She added Alice in Wonderland (a colour book),
Anna Karenina (a fashion book)
and The Jungle Book (an animal book)
to our BabyLit collection.
While he added Sherlock Holmes (a sounds book),
Huckleberry Finn (a camping book)
and Moby Dick (an ocean book).
Their Easter baskets happily kept them entertained for most of the day.
With them looking at their new things,
reading their new books,
reading their new books,
taking things in and out of the baskets
to carry around the living room,
and cuddling Grayson and Bailey.
and cuddling Grayson and Bailey.
Pop back tomorrow for more photos from our Easter,
there were just too many little Easter moments for just one post.
That penultimate photo looks like soemthing out of the Boden catalogue. It is brilliant. what superb pics and a gorgeous idea.

DeleteVery adorable baskets & love the bunny ears- sooo adorable on them! We don't do candy either - little books, stuffed animals, trinkets, etc- My daughter got so excited over everything!
ReplyDeleteThanks. I'm so pleased with how the baskets came out, and the ears are fab. We just decided to avoid chocolate knowing that's what everyone else would get them anyway, and that they wouldn't need more from us. x

ReplyDeleteThank-you. We stole the quilt off of the little ladies bed because it matched the baskets so nicely. x
