This epitomises an ordinary moment.
They didn't even know they were being photographed.
And I didn't know I was photographing them.
Okay, so I did have the camera pointed at them,
but I was just checking my light and my camera settings
ready to get a different photo.
And then I looked through the memory card when I got home
and I found this . . .
A completely accidental photo
of an utterly beautiful and tender moment
between my two best boys.
I love photos where the subjects don't know they're been photographed but to not even know you're taking it is pretty special! It's a lovely photo too, such a tender moment.
ReplyDeleteMe too, candid photography is my absolute favourite. I am seriously, so amazed and pleased that I snapped this photo without knowing it. It captures them so well. x
DeleteAh that is truly gorgeous, what a perfect moment to capture xx
ReplyDeleteThanks lovely, I'm so in love with it. Simple but lovely. x
DeleteAhhh I love your beautiful boys!
ReplyDeleteAhhh, thanks lovely. Me too! x
DeleteI have a few photos like this that I love too. I only wish someone would take photos of me when I wasn't expecting instead of self timer shots that I try so hard to make look natural. I love that they have each other's hands, it's very tender.
ReplyDeleteSo true isn't it? I sometimes think I could do with a photographer following me around just catching those little moments. The hand holding just melted me, and the way that my husband is leaning in to smell his air. x
DeleteA beautiful natural photo! I have finally got around to joining in with this lovely Linky. x
ReplyDeleteThanks lovely. And YAY, its such a cute linky. x
DeleteOh Lucy I think this might be one of my favourite ever photos that you have taken. It is beautiful and you can just see the love in it. I love that it was accidentally taken. And I agree with Caroline, I would love someone to follow me round and take photos of me in the moment unaware, Mr E is NOT good at that, I have to tell him to pick up the camera and take one for me and as such the photos are posed and not natural. x
ReplyDeleteI think it's one of my favourites too. I just love how connected they are.
DeleteAnd I want a photographer.... DEFINITELY!!! It would be so amazing to get to see yourself parenting. x
Gorgeous! How lucky that you got this one by chance! x
ReplyDeleteI know, right? I'm so thrilled with it. x
DeleteI love capturing moments like these...so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteIt's the simplest moments that are beautiful, isn't it. x
DeleteThis is so sweet. Who knew these boys could just own your whole heart;) I love it.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness.... completely. My bestest boys! x
DeleteI do love this picture. I saw it earlier and melted xx
ReplyDeleteThanks lovely, I kind of pimped it all over the place as I love it so much. x
DeleteAww this is so gorgeous. They both look so fragile and vulnerable here x
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean, its like they're clinging to each other. I just love the innocence of it. It's so simple. x
DeleteThis is so adorable. I love that it was an accidental and natural snap, they are the best ones xx
ReplyDeleteThanks lovely. And the funniest thing is that I normally bin my test shots as I go, but I didn't on this occasion because we were against the clock with the weather. Seems like it's fate that I didn't. x
Deleteaah, just gorgeous!
