My beautiful boy loves animals.
I think you'd be hard pushed to find a toddler that doesn't.
He loves identifying them,
making their noises
and generally doing impressions of them.
Animals in books are a big hit with him
and with me too it has to be said.
with fantastic cartoon images of lots of different animals.
The pictures really are great,
really sweet, funny and engaging.
And accompanying each animal picture
is a short poem all about them.
Each poem is simple and really memorable,
and many are quite comical too.
I really do think we owe the little man's keen knowledge of animals to this book
and to it's counterparts The Commotion in the Ocean
,
All these books are really popular in this house,
they are fun, lively books to share together,
the beautiful boy loves to look through them alone,
and they can be dipped into quickly, just for a poem or two.
They really are a great addition to our bookshelf.
You can check out more books to add to your collection

I love seeing what other people are reading with their children. I adore books and would love to pass that on to M. It's such a lovely thing to enjoy.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing what others are reading too. It's so nice to get ideas for other books to pick up. And I agree, I really want to pass on a love of books to my kiddos. x
DeleteOooh these are new to me! I can see why they're so popular though, and lovely to have a book that you can just read a little for when bedtime has sailed way past bedtime but you just want to read a little something to keep the routine.
ReplyDeleteBy the time we get to Kitty's birthday in September I'm going to have am amazing birthday wishlist for her!
They are lovely. Bright and cute. A really nice addition to to bookshelf, not least because they are poetry books rather than stories. x
DeleteThis looks like another great book. I love reading the boys books which are bright and have fun illustrations like this. x
ReplyDeleteI'm a fan of bright and funny books too. These really fit the bill. x
DeleteI haven't heard of this one either, I love this series as it does show me potential contenders for our collection! We have so many lovely ones, I must join in at some point. We still need to buy Mads some of others by the Gruffalo author as she loved reading BB's on holiday.

It's great to see what others are reading, I always like to have a list of books I want for the children, then when they get pocket money I can pick them up. Julia Donaldson books are great, we probably have more of her books than anyone else's. x
DeleteOh Addison would love these, she is a huge book fan and animals are her favourite, I shall have to get these for her x
ReplyDeleteThey're really fun Kara, definitely worth a look. x
DeleteA rumble in the jungle has a dear place in my heart. I read it to my baby sister when we were kids almost every night. When I had Ty she gave it to my as a baby shower gift with a sweet note on the inside about reading to him like I did her.
ReplyDeleteSuch a wonderful book and you have such a beautiful family!!
xoxo
