Me & Mine: A Family Portrait Project is all about taking time out as a family
to capture memories of you in the moment.
It's about not waiting to special occasions to take a photo of you together,
but making an effort to capture your every days together.
I can't even begin to explain how close to my heart this is.
We took a photo of us as a four on the day that the beautiful girl was born.
The next one we took was on Christmas day.
Two important days which are nice to commemorate,
but in between those dates three months passed
and while we have hundreds of photos to show for it,
we have none of us together.
Me & Mine isn't about taking a technically amazing photo,
it isn't about doing something particularly special.
It's about documenting your family.
There are seven of us co-hosting this linky,
but I am so glad to see so many of you have jumped on board
and gone on this journey with us.
I really hope you're all finding it as valuable as I am.
I've also loved seeing people jump in a few months in
and making the effort to commit to taking a monthly family photo.
It's never to late to start.
This month I'm encouraging you all to go and visit Becky at Ar-Blog
to see her family portrait and what her family have been up to.
They always offer up something a bit comical so don't miss out.
Keep following the links round in a circle so you get to see all seven hosts,
and check out the other people linking up too,
there are so many great ones each month
and it's great to see the little community that this linky is generating.
I've shown you me and mine,
now we want to see you and yours . . .
It's like one mind this month! I totally agree! This month made me realise just how much we actually do as a family and that even with the camera seemingly surgically attached to my hand, there are times I forget to snap. Not this month! Happy family times in abundance! Dreamy beach huts - I think I want to live there! xxx
ReplyDeleteDefinitely. I think it's always easier in the summer when you're just naturally drawn outside and the children are automatically happier. It's absolutely the snaps that tell the stories and make us smile, rather than the perfectly posed portraits. x
DeleteAbsolutely beautiful. Where are those beach huts? They are utterly gorgeous - what an amazing backdrop for a family photo.
ReplyDeletep.s. I can't believe beautiful girl is crawling already - time is just going so quick! xx
Thanks lovely. The beach huts are on a beautiful beach on the Essex coast not too far from us. They are a lovely backdrop for a photo. x
DeleteI love these pictures! I've tried so many times to find out who owns these beach huts, in case you an hire them for a day or something - but no luck!
ReplyDeleteYes, me and mum have looked into the same. There are beach huts to hire on Mersea but not these ones as far as I can tell. x
Deletestunning photos, as ever! xx
ReplyDeleteThanks lovely. x
DeleteOh wow - what beautiful beach huts, you so rarely see them all ice cream shades - such a perfect setting for a family photo. I love the one of you all on different huts especially!
ReplyDeleteThey really are beautiful. And there are so many of them too, they're amazing for photos. x
DeleteThose huts are lickable! Love the one with you all stood on one pastel green hut - it's a lovely composition.
ReplyDeleteThey really are lick able! And thats my favourite too, I like the composition too. But had to get a nice close up in too. x
DeleteLOVE! I'm slightly addicted to taking pictures of beach houses. So gorgeous. Love the pastel shades.
ReplyDeleteME TOO!!! I'm a little beach hut obsessed. I'd love to own one if I had some spare money lying around. x
DeleteMe too. But I sense I should save for an actual home first lol.

DeleteI love these photos and I love those beach huts! I remember the photos of Beautiful Boy with them ages ago. Where are they? I could live in them too! X x
ReplyDeleteYes, I got some photos of us on them last summer too, just days before the beautiful girl was born. They are on the Essex coast about 40 mins from us, I love them. x
DeleteBeautiful, beautiful, beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThanks lovely. x
Deleteoh my, straight from heaven pictures. just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThose beach huts are just beautiful - and your family photos are gorgeous x
ReplyDeleteAww, thank-you. I love them: the beach huts and the family!!! :) x
DeleteWow, what a lovely beach. Those beach huts are really nice. I love your photos.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much. It's such a lovely spot. x
DeleteLOVE the pastel beach huts. I actually don't think people should be allowed to paint their own because I've seen some SHOCKING colour combinations out there.
ReplyDeleteVery true. There are about 50 of these new ones, all in these pastel shades and they look lovely. Down the beach there are some old rustic ones that are higgledy-piggledy. They have their charm too, but there are some awful looking ones. x
DeleteThese pictures are truly stunning, your family suit the background, Addy is loving Mini Milks too xxx
ReplyDeleteThanks lovely. And what's not to love about mini milks? Mmmmm! x
DeleteAbsolutely gorgeous I really do love the pretty co,our beach huts x
ReplyDeleteThanks hun, they make a lovely backdrop for photos that's for sure. x
DeleteBeaut! Love the colours. Still madly in love with the Me & Mine concept... what to do with all 12 pictures in December?!
ReplyDeleteAwww, thanks lovely. I'm still loving it too, and I'm think of a photobook with all mine in, plus some of the text from each month. It'll be a great memento of our 2013 that's for sure. x
Deletegorgeous photos - and I really want a beach hut like those!!!
