There is something so special about video
and the way that is captures memories.
I absolutely love taking and looking at photos
but video is so real and so alive.
And I loved making and sharing our 'one day' in april
so I've decided to make it into a little series,
where I'll share a family day from start to finish.
Just one random day in our lives.
Capturing the real memories of our family
at this exact moment in time.
The moments when my husband carries our first born on his shoulders.
The moments I see each morning as we start our day together with cuddles and a play in bed.
The moments when the beautiful boy was enchanted by seeing a fairy story come to life.
The moments where the beautiful girl's face erupts into smiles and laughter.
Our real life.
Just one day of it.
Just one day of it.
Oh what a lovely day! How wonderful to have Gruffalo woods too, that looks like so much fun.
ReplyDeleteIt was so lovely. And he is obsessed with The Gruffalo books so it was magical watching him. x
DeleteAw I love this- I love how videos give you such an insight into family life, it almost makes you feel like you were a part of the day! Every time I see a video on a blog I think I must do my own- I am too lazy with the editing though! May be I will do a little montage of our holiday- you have inspired me. Maybe. ;) x
ReplyDeleteI love making them now. And they are such a nice memento of our random days. I shall be making mini movies of both our holidays my dear so you had best get used to them.
DeleteJust the sweetest thing Lucy! x
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I really want to see the gruffalo!
ReplyDeleteThanks. It was a great little trip out. x
DeleteThis is so cute! Where did you go for the Gruffulo? Looks fab! X
ReplyDeleteThanks. A country park not too far from us has a Gruffalo Trail. It has all the characters from the books. The little man loved it. x

DeleteAww, such a beautiful little film. I love capturing video. I really should put them all together :)
ReplyDeleteOh you should put them together. We took lots of little clips with the beautiful boy when he was tiny but I've kind of made it my mission to make some proper videos of us all since the little miss came along. x
DeleteYou have beautiful babies Lucy! Such a lovely little video and their bond is so evident xx
ReplyDeleteThanks hun. They are getting closer all the time, and it's such a joy to watch them. x

ReplyDeleteThanks hun. I'm hoping to have a little series of them before the year is out. x
DeleteI love them in the bath together, the BG is just adorable! (as is the BB of course) x
ReplyDeleteThey are so funny in the bath. It's one of my favourite times of the day because they are so cute together. x
DeleteBeautiful video :) Such previous moments to look back on xx
ReplyDeleteThank-you. I really want to make sure I record more videos. x
DeleteGorgeous Lucy. It's easy to forget about video when you're used to having a camera permanently clutched to your breast! These little stages are precious!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely. And video is such an amazing may to record things. I'm definitely going to do more of it. x
DeleteOh my god I just watched this minutes before I have to go out and I'm all teary now! Made me cry seeing them in the bath as I love bathing my little ones together too. So lovely. Can I be nosey and ask what you edit your videos using? I have Camtasia I used to use for work but never tried doing much with it. I love yours! L x
ReplyDeleteBath time is my favourite time with my two as well, they are just so lovely together.
DeleteI use iMovie to edit my videos together and I really like it. It's a bit weird when you first start but great when you get used to it. x
You do not know how much Lucy your blog saves me everyday, I have been struggling so much of late and I come here and I smile, not little smiles big ones. I love this video, I love this idea, I only said to Ash last week we never video our babies enough as you quickly forget the little things, this video is proof that the little things are the most important. There are so many points in this video that make my heart sing, BG little tongue popping out, how BB puts the sponge on her head, seeing them side by side in their pushchair but most of all seeing a family with so much love xxxx
ReplyDeleteAwww, this comment made me cry Kara. It really is the little things that are the most important. And each day has dozens of those little moment that can make your heart sing if you look out for them. I'm glad this made you smile. x
DeleteI'm the one who likes the still pictures, and hubby is the one who loves video, so we get lucky and have a house full of both. :)
ReplyDeleteVisiting today from Tell Me Tuesday.
Such a precious video! You have inspired me to take more video!! Thanks for linking up. :)
