On Friday our little family gained a new person;

another team member,

And she is a little pink bundle,

He was the little person who made me a mummy in the first place

so however big he gets,

however grown up he appears;

he'll never stop being my baby.

brush baby review

Brush-baby sent us their special chewable toothbrush at exactly the right time.

The beautiful boy had been working on some more pearly whites lately

and while teething has never bothered or upset him,

he does get very dribbly and chewy when they are on the move.

Some days are just sort of sparkly.

The shells sparkle on the sand,

the sun sparkles off the sea,

and you have a lovely little sparkly boy to watch playing.

waiting and wondering...

Assembling the crib was the final preparation job that needed doing.

The last piece in the puzzle of getting ready for our new baby.

And it's done.

The little rocking crib we had for our beautiful boy,

is back in our bedroom

and awaiting the arrival of another family member.

I think it's really easy to overpack your baby bag

especially when you have lots of lovely new outfits

that you can't wait to see your newborn in.

And while I don't think overpack for myself

I could be a little guilty of taking too many things for the baby.

As far as we were concerned,

you were quickly turning into an absolute genius.

packed: my hospital bag

My bags are packed

and I can officially say that we are as ready as we'll ever be for Splodge's arrival.

I guess the contents of most mummy-to-be's hospital bags are pretty similar

but they are also really personal too.

This is the bag with all the things you will want

at a time when you are going to be uncomfortable, in pain and quite frankly at your worst.

You want things that will make you feel happy

and anything that makes you feel a bit more comfortable has to be a winner.

My beautiful boy doesn't cry very often.

He produces actual tears even less often.

And when he does, it's generally pretty serious,

and is something which only mummy cuddles will cure.
