Sometimes we're all too busy living our lives
to look at the beautiful things around us
and to really see them.
Nature is a beautiful thing which surrounds us.
I all too regularly breeze through it,
past it,
over it,
under it,
and don't take the time to look.
So I loved this theme.
It made me look at some beautiful things which I had been ignoring,
or maybe just not seeing for all that they are.
After much deliberation I went out photographing some flowers,
partly because they are nature in one of its most beautiful states,
but also because I wanted to play with my macro kit.
Last week's theme resulted in some beautiful, natural and unposed photography.
And it was yet again a real tough choice to pick a Photo of the Week,
but in the end I went with this one:
A great candid shot from Cheetah in my Shoes.
I have to admit to being very fond of photos in the long grass,
but I just love how happy he looks and so natural too.
So Jenny can show off the winner's badge of she wants too.

And she has chosen the theme of 'Growing'
as the next photo challenge.
But this week it's all about your 'Nature' photos.
So start posting and linking them up,
grab the badge and/or link back so for readers can find more,
and get around to see some of the others when you get a chance.
Was my first time joining in and I didn't tweet you my pic in advance doh!
ReplyDeleteLovely capture :) x
????? You don't have to tweet the picture in advance. Just do your post and link it up just as you've done. You can take the theme however you like, so there is no right or wrong. Thanks for joining in. X
DeleteLOVE your nature shot mama! OH! I want a micro lens!! That candid pick is super cute!
ReplyDeleteThanks hun. I definitely enjoyed having fun playing with my new lens kit for this theme. X
DeleteBeautiful photo's hun and wise words too, i think we all breeze through life not thinking to stop and really take in our environment and the world around us. Great theme this week :) xxx
ReplyDeleteDefinitely. And it's so nice to have an excuse to stop and look at it all. X
DeleteBeautiful close up! I have so many close ups of flowers I love that I could not choose one so I guess I tried to take a slight variation on the theme. That was my favourite candid theme shot too...you can't beat such natural, happy, fun!
ReplyDeleteAlways good to try and go a slightly different way and do something a bit different. X
DeleteLoving this nature theme - and love your daisy shot. Hopefully we'll get a chance to link up this week x
ReplyDeleteThank-you. I was really pleased with it. X
DeleteLove the vibrant colors!
ReplyDeleteThank-you. Nature puts on quite the colourful display if you stop to look at it. X
DeleteStunning photo's - it is lovely to see we still have the sunshine flowers if not the weather!
ReplyDeleteWe do, in fact I think the sunshine flowers are quite liking all the rain, I guess that's the upside to the bad summer if we are looking for one. X
DeleteI so need a posh camera. Love the daisy. Will link up later x
ReplyDeleteYou don't. Any camera will do, it's what you do with it that counts! Although I do love my camera like another child. x
DeleteThis is such an awesome reminder! Thanks!
ReplyDelete♥ Kyna
You're very welcome. It does hurt to stop and look and appreciate once in a while. X
DeleteRight I have linked up now! Although it's nature from Portugal and our holiday ... ok it's an excuse for sandy photos ;)
ReplyDeleteSand is nature is it not? And everyone likes to see sandy holiday snaps. X
DeleteI have completely failed this weeks challenge!!! I was tempted to link up my water shot again as that was nature too but thought that might be cheating! Please don't make me go to the bottom of the class! x
ReplyDeleteLove that daisy shot - beautiful - a flower we often hardly notice. I am a bit of a fan of my macro thingy on my compact digital an I have taken loads of flower close ups - love em!
ReplyDeleteSome fab piccies! So sorry I didn't get to link up when I chose the theme! lol! Taking a bit of much needed time out at the minute but wanted to stop by and take a look x
