It kind of feels like there is a lot of growing going on around here lately.
My beautiful baby boy is growing into a little boy.
My belly is growing into a big bad beach ball.
And in preparations for that beach ball belly becoming another beautiful baby for me to love,
I've been stocking up on the tiny stuff;
the tiny nappies and the tiny clothes.
And I'm suddenly very aware of how much my little boy has grown.
Growing isn't the easiest thing to photograph.
And I've been stuck indoors this entire week with a poorly toddler
so my photography options have been somewhat limited.
But I kind of like the comparison
between a something new bought for my unborn baby
and something which belongs to my big baby.
I had a tough time choosing a picture from last week
and couldn't seem to narrow it down further than three favourites.
So I enlisted the hubby's help and as luck would have it
he picked one of my three as his favourite.
So by group vote this picture wins:
from Kerry at Multiple Mummy.
We both thought the photo was just beautiful.
She can show of the Photo of the Week badge if she wants to:

I was on a go slow so was really late getting touch with Kerry.
So to give her a chance to pick a really good theme
I'm picking it for this coming week
and she can pick the next one.
So I have chosen the theme of 'Morning'.

It is mad how small they are in comparison- what scared me the most was looking at Mads when she first came out on that first day and thinking how on earth did you fit in there! x
ReplyDeleteI just kept looking at the nappies and thinking how they were too big for the little guy for ages. And I know exactly what you mean about thinking how could they even have fitted inside, it's crazy what the human body manages to do when you think about it. X
DeleteThis makes me want to get Dylan's old bits out to see how small he was! I bet splodge will feel even tinier next to the beautiful boy!
ReplyDeleteMy little man is only a dinky dot really, but I just know he's going to seem like an enormous monster child next to Splodge. X
DeleteThank you so much for featuring me! I am so chuffed! I shall try and come up with a theme! x
ReplyDeleteYou're very welcome. Thanks for taking part. X
DeleteJust came across your blog...how cute is that picture! I'm expecting my little one in a few months and can't wait to see him grow...I heard they grow up so fast:-)
ReplyDeleteAww, thanks for commenting. They do grow up so fast, so just drink up every moment. x
DeleteThey grow soooooo quickly x
ReplyDeleteDon't they just? I sometimes wish it would all just slow down a bit. x
DeleteOh, how I love the tiny stuff! :)
ReplyDeleteSo cute isn't it? Everything looks so much more adorable in miniature. x
DeleteIt's easy to forget just how tiny those first sized nappies are! Teeny Weeny!
ReplyDeleteA period of change for your lovely family, but a wonderful change x
I completely forgot how small they are, and they were so big on the little guy when he was born. Quite scary to think we'll have another one of those tiny little people, but exciting too. x
