messy {see it snap it love it}

I have to say
that my beautiful boy isn't particularly messy.
He has to be just about the tidiest cleanest eater I've ever seen
and he enjoys tidying his toys away for fun.
He doesn't particularly like messy things
and will poke tiny little morsels of dinner into his mouth
rather than leaving them on his lip
or pick up crumbs on the high chair tray
to put them back into his bowl.
I have long given up hope of getting lovely food covered photos of him
because it just doesn't really happen.
But sometimes, just sometimes
we get a glimmer of a proper messy little boy
who empties toys all over the place
and then laughs about it.

Last weeks winner for the 'Surprise' challenge was this photo:

Crumby Mummy officially becomes he first double winner of Photo of the Week
with this little gem of a picture.
I especially love the little story of the trouble they went to to get it,
because that's what a photo challenge is all about.
Here is the swanky winners badge if she wants it.

<a href="http://www.dearbeautifulboy.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/ll320/looby_boo/winnersbadge200.jpg" /></a>

And the next challenge is . . .
. . . drum roll please . . .
'Peace and Quiet'.

But this week is all about 'Messy'
so start linking up your messy photographs.
Grab the badge so your readers know where to find more,
tweet your links to me at @dear_beautiful_ and I'll retweet them
and try to visit as many others as you can because you'll get back from the linky what you put in.

    1. Hehe. Tidying up lessons are free, just so long as you don't want to actually play with any toys. X

  2. Count yourself very lucky! My daughter's bedroom usually looks messy five minutes after being tidied, she manages to cover herself, her table and the floor in food at mealtimes and she finds it funny to empty our shelves of DVDs and books!

    1. I am definitely cut from the messy mould, so having such a tidy child is very bizarre. Although I have always insisted on only have a couple of toys out at one time so perhaps it's rubbed off. X

    1. That was him cheekily pulling a face at me because I asked him where all the mess came from. He's a proper little monkey sometimes.

  5. Our game is to take as many toys out of the box as possible!

    1. That was definitely the game here. Fortunately he had as much fun putting them all away again afterwards. X

  6. My theory is it's ok as long as you had fun making the mess.

    1. I wish it was his room. That's my living room that he's completely trashed in this photo. We always start the day so tidy but the toys multiply as the day goes on. ;) x

  10. Wow - aren't you lucky! Andrew's a neat eater, but that's the extent of his tidiness. He can destroy a room in a 3.2 seconds! lol!

    1. Very! Although I'm sure he'll grow out of being tidy, he can still destroy a room pretty quickly, he just likes to tidy it all up afterwards. X

  16. What is your secret? I spend hours cleaning for it to look as mess again in five minutes. One of my boys tries to tidy but he just throws things in boxes and I am suprised he doesn't break stuff.

    1. Hehehe. If only I had been forward planning. It's a lucky accident really..... that and the fact that they don't seem to make many children's toys in white. x
