sunshine and summertime

you just can't beat the summer time


the air smells like hot grass
there isn't a cloud in the sky to disturb the sea of blue.
ice-cream drips down the cone onto hot fingers
the sound of bird song and children giggling fills the air
you can feel the grass between your naked toes
you can feel warm sun on your bare skin
you can get the paddling pool out . . .
. . . and enjoy your first ever dip
you can run and jump and fall and get soaked and find it hysterical
you can splash and play and laugh yourself into exhaustion
the simplest things make you completely happy

    Lovely photos hun and I am sure that the little man enjoyed his first dip in the paddling pool very much. We spent a small fortune on garden stuff for Maddie but she was more interested in our peg basket! Oh well we enjoyed them!

    I love all the colours- they are so pretty, all the blues, pinks and brights- they make they photos stand out lots.

      She'll grow to love all her lovely toys, I'm sure, she just needs to get used to them probably. The little guy can be a bit funny with new stuff.
      And I'm so happy with how the pictures turned out, all the colours look good enough to eat and make it look even more summery. I even like the pink! X

    How much do I love that y'all call them a paddling pool?!? I think I'm going to have to start using it. (We've always said a wading pool.) Looks like he had a blast! Mine are water babies too. I love it!
